Come celebrate the holidays, be entertained, and help a great cause at the same time! Sola Coffee Cafe has teamed up with Jamie Purnell and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC to bring this day of merriment to assist those in need. We will be collecting canned goods and donations throughout the day. There will be music, fun, and surprises for folks of all ages. The musical talents of: The Jo Gore Duo, James Olin Oden, and many more will be featured (I'll be playing from 8:45 - 9:15, right before Jamie)! Established in 1980, the Food Bank is a nonprofit organization that has provided food for people at risk of hunger in 34 counties for 30 years. Q: Who is your greatest musical influence?
A: I don't know that I can choose ONE... but Blind Pilot has been my favorite for the longest. I admire Israel Nebeker's musical and lyric creativity, as well as his honesty in his songs.
