Elisa Caleb

 

I was born in London and raised in Barbados. I began listening to jazz at the age of 14, though I went on to study Law and Theology!

I married Jo Caleb in 2003 and, prompted by my husband, I began singing in 2005. Since then I have performed in numerous venues around the the UK and internationally including Moscow, Paris, Brussels, Italy, Greece and Barbados. As well as performing with top British jazz musicians like Soweto Kinch, Jim Mullen, Tony Kofi, Seb Rochford, Gary Husband, Stan Sulzmann, Robert Mitchell, Gareth Lockrane, Martin Speake, Phil Robson, Alec Dankworth, Malcolm Creese, Asaf Sirkis, Femi Temowo, Mike Outram, Troy Miller, Mike Mondesir, Mike Gorman, Mornington Lockett and many others.

I continue to perform in the UK and abroad with my husband Jo, whilst taking care of our 1 year old daughter, Liya.
