Elemental Joe is essentially a jam band that have been working and recording together for about 6 years, the music comes from sessions that are recorded multi-track. If anything good comes out it is worked on it and then remixed by Nick, Rupe and Wal or by Goat who produces, adds keyboards, sounds and other lovely things.

The sound has it’s roots in rock, funk, jazz, ambient, world, progressive and psychedelic but the project does not set out to emulate anyone or any sound. Once told they sound like a cross between Pink Floyd and The Crusaders their music has also been likened to that of Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Jimi Hendrix, Amon Tobin, Brand X, Led Zeppelin, Brian Eno and Ozric Tentacles.

Though thought by some to be too eclectic to be successfully commercial the band are positive that wider exposure of their music will find a good sized audience and are constantly being told by anyone who hears it: “You must get it out there!”
