Elemental Joe (Nick Dutton - guitars, Rupe Horrox - drums, Wallace Greenoak - bass and Goat Maison - Production and Harmonic Verbs) are based near London, UK and have been writing, arranging and performing their instrumental funk/rock/ambient atmospheric soundscapes for the past four years. Much of the music is the product of jams that are multi-track recorded and then topped with ambient sounds, atmospherics and occasionally voices. The music has a 1970's prog rock/funk/jazz feel that is contemporised with touches of modern sampling and influences. It's difficult to say who they sound like but to give you an idea they rate as their influences: Pink Floyd, Weather Report, Brian Eno, Return To Forever, Brand X, Jimi Hendrix, Mahavishnu Orchestra, Led Zeppelin, Ozric Tentacles and Focus. They strongly feel that the music is ideally suited to films, or indeed any form of visual media, and they are seriously looking to have the music exposed to anyone who may be searching for original material to be used in their project, be they student or professional.
