Details
Maura Kennedy will bring her band to Bowery Electric (327 Bowery, New York, NY) on December 8 to perform songs from her recent solo album, Parade of Echoes. Doors are at 7:30pm and tickets are $10. Maura Kennedy will be sharing the bill with Edward Rogers and Don Piper. The evening is billed as "December's Children: Three Artful Popsters." Maura released her solo debut, Parade of Echoes, in early 2010. The album came about from an idea she had to write and make a master-quality recording each month for thirteen months. The resulting melodic journal of sorts has been described as “a shimmering blend of classic-sounding pop and folk, with gorgeous harmonies. And Maura's songs exude the same sparkling charm - catchy, to be sure, but also brimming with intelligence and vivid imagery” (The Philadelphia Inquirer).
