“Frankie Avalon took the stage singing “Beach Blanket Bingo” and reminded the audience of all the beach movies he starred in. Avalon is now the father of 8 (4 boys and 4 girls), the oldest is 46 and the youngest is 36. He also has 10 grandchildren. Son, Frank Jr. backed up his father on the drums with his lifetime friend, Edan Everly, son of Don Everly of the Everly Brothers, on lead guitar. The two of them really tore it up. Frankie sang his hit song “Beauty School Drop Out,” from the movie “Grease.” Frankie and Edan performed a medley of the Everly Brothers’ hits, “Bye Bye Love”, “Dream” and “Wakeup Little Suzie,” the audience was up dancing. Frankie Avalon stepped down off the stage, strolling around the audience. Women clamored to get their photo taken with him while he performed a medley of his best known songs, “Because I Love You,” “Bobbie socks to Stockings,” “Venus” and “Where or When.””
