Q: "The Promise" is one of the most beautiful and moving songs I've ever experienced. What can you tell us fans about the origin and inspiration for the song. Perfect choice for the CD title cut. ~Rob

A: Hi Rob…. Many thanks for the question and for your interest. May I first of all say that we are extremely grateful to have received this compliment from you about our work, even more so in view of the high esteem you are held in the world of Rock Music. "The Promise" was the first song Eamon and myself wrote together. I initially composed the music fully intending it to be an instrumental, but then on the spur of the moment, decided to send my work on to Eamon in order to see whether he felt it would work with lyrics. Eamon spontaneously wrote them in reaction to the music and within a couple of hours the first vocal track had been laid. I do feel that the beautiful way Eamon has performed the song tugs on the heart strings, making the lyrics open to the interpretation of those who hear it. Many thanks for your continued support and encouragement.... believe me it means the world to us. Paul.
