“UNION — A benefit concert called the "Backwoods Bash" is expected to draw a huge crowd to Union on October 15, with several bands and local celebrities, but the star of the show is Valarie Hale, a mother from Waldoboro who has a debilitating genetic condition called Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency.
The bands scheduled to play on October 15 include Tri Polar, Rave on, the Juke Rockets, 5 Shadow, Riptide, Mid-Life Crises, and So What. Duff Powell will provide comedy, sharing the stage with Shayne Harvey, as well as an acoustic set by OdLaW rockers Sam Ladd and Jerry Weaver. The bash begins at 8 a.m. and runs until midnight.”

So I went to the Island the other day, which is just off the mainland, a medium swim across medomak river, and I saw some unusual animal prints, which kinda freaked me out a little, so I took some pictures of them.
