“Police Chief Jay Varney announced today that Chowchilla Police officers Phil Cheatham and Heath Middleton will be leaving the Chowchilla Police Department in April 2010 and trading in their badges and guns to serve in a different capacity. Officers Cheatham and Middleton will be devoting themselves full time to their Christian band Driven Cure... Officer Cheatham and Middleton have enjoyed their time spent as police officers in the City of Chowchilla. Officer Cheatham will be leaving his assigned duty at Chowchilla High School as the Campus Resource Officer where he has served at for the last 7 years. Officer Middleton has worked with CPD for the past 4 years and was assigned as a Field Training Officer and Defensive Tactics Instructor.
