In the wee hours of Two Thousand and Nine, Chris 'Buddist' Adkins, Mikey Waco, and Ryan 'Timebomb' Smith convened for a nostalgic punk rock jam. Three guys who'd rattled stages and studios together extensively in the years prior under the moniker, West of Waco. At this moment, however, five years after West of Waco's demise, life had taken these, *ahem*, gentlemen, in various wayward paths in AND out of the music world. But from the very moment Buddist broke a guitar string, Timebomb let a drumstick fly, and Waco forgot the lyrics... these three knew they were back. Phasers on Kill was born. One of the initial plans on where to steer this budding project was to become a Screeching Weasel cover band, but as jam sessions quickly dictated, original material began to ooze and take shape on its own. Peppered generously with each band member's diverse musical influences, their songs abandon bells and whistles and get to the point: Energy. Hook. Harmony. In three minutes or less in most cases. New to Phasers on Kill is Danno Rankin on bass. Danno brings a wealth of experience dropping low-end rhythm on South Sound skulls and he adds an exciting and vital dimension to the band as a whole new chapter begins...
