Dragan a.k.a. Jazzy D has a solid reputation as a sophisticated and highly respected Toronto musician and continues to broaden the modern jazz horizon. His broad repertoire of styles reflect both European and North American influences and he has an impressive emotional range that will captivate the ears of jazz and fusion music lovers of all tastes. His compositions are truly elegant and inspiring. Every new recording continues to keep listeners in anticipation of his next musical adventure. Dragan is working diligently on his next CD "COGITO ERGO SUM" to be released in Winter 2008.
Biography
Dragan Petrovic was born in Belgrade, Serbia and had a successful career as a professional musician there. Apart from his accomplishments as a solo artist, he also composed and arranged music for theatres, radio and TV stations in Europe. He immigrated to Toronto, Ontario, Canada in the early nineties. This Berklee graduate has performed across USA and Canada as a solo jazz artist. In 2004, he established BG Music Academy, a music school and recording studio in the west end of Toronto.
