About the band:
Down Within is a 5 piece hardcore band from the Reading/Berkshire area. Having exploded onto the local scene in late 2005 the band has worked to get their name into their listener's minds with a high degree of energetic showmanship to rival the very best.
With a continually growing fanbase, the band have played many highly successful local shows, with an equally positive response from audiences further afield, and with plans for a UK tour the band can only continue to gain recognition.
The bands debut release 'The Heist Begins Here' will be available through Casket Music in 2007. Having received both acclaim and applause from a wide spread audience the EP showcases both the technical abilities of the band and reflects the passion and devotion, combined with pride and enthusiasm that the band puts into both writing and playing every note of every song.
Continuing to write and extend their set is of foremost importance to the band, who with an average age of just 18 have many years to perfect their art form. Down Within has come a long way in just 2 years, but with many years remaining they have the potential to go much, much further...

"This English 5 piece band sure is intresting! Having a varied style with a extremely well played and executed 6 track EP, sure holds promise! Even though the promo material says they play hardcore, they have several influences and don�t stick to the regular hardcore format, which is a positive approach and helps to make the bands music stand out and be noticed. The entire band has very competent musicians who play their parts well without treading on the others territory, Charlie's vocals compliment the fresh sound of Down Within! Casket Music have played their cards right and placed a bet on a winning combination here for sure! I liked the entire cover art, sleeve design and layout which leaves the listener wondering whats in store for him until he pops the disc into the player!
