Back in the day when rock and roll was not whiny, there were bands that actually loved what they did and created an atmosphere that made their audience forget their troubles, at least for a couple hours. Down Stroke prides itself on being one of the few bands that can bring that type of positive energy and interact with rock fans of all ages. 
Down Stroke was formed in the fall of 2006 by Justin Time and Jimmy Mullin. Shortly after arriving on the scene, they began their ascent to the top of the club ranks by taking every crowd by storm with their brand of good music, looks, and humor. While producing a heavy sound, Down Stroke strikes the delicate balance between hard rock and being girl friendly. Describing the delicate balance, bassist Jimmy Mullin says, “The band has an edge for the guys and abs for the girls.” 

Bassist, Jimmy Mullin could succeed alone on his handsome features and great vocals, but his no none-sense rock and roll low-end certainly adds a necessary ingredient to the group’s working formula. Always smiling, Jimmy plants his feet on stage nightly and exudes nothing but confidence. 

Vegas, the only Alabaman in the band, hails from Huntsville. Vegas’ guitar brought the band exactly what they were looking for with his heavy, crunching guitar tones and signature riffs, not to mention the washboard abs. His vocals filled out the thick, crisp, three part harmonies you can now hear in their live show.

Front man, Justin Time, has grown up in a musical family, which taught him exactly how to communicate with the audience. Justin creates an energetic atmosphere and takes pride in leading by the “I jump. You jump.” example. He loves being a part of the show as much as he enjoys creating the show. Justin says, “I like to do a show with and audience, not at an audience.”
