Downfall Rising is the next generation of the Nacogdoches, Texas based band Set Adrift. Set Adrift sprung onto the local music scene in 2007/08, only to split on early 09 with its vocalist and drummer forming Downfall Rising quickly thereafter.

DR is plain and simply a more versed and talented project than its predecessor, combinding elements of Rock, Metal, Funk and Jazz in a combination of progressive mayhem. Downfall rising can only be described as truly unique and unpredictable.
