Roots Rocker Doug Cowen is a Singer/Songwriter out of South Bend, Indiana. Doug Is also the founder and front man for the Michiana based rock band known as "the Basics." Heavily influenced by the bands and artists from the 1960's, Doug Cowen & the Basics play their own highly acclaimed originals while mixing in a variey of well known classic rock songs. Doug Cowen & the Basics proove that the great old formulas can still make great new music.
