David Lopes exploded onto the RI music scene in 1987 with his now legendary band "Two Guys and Another Guy". Dopey was at the epicenter of the Providence RI music scene in the late 1980's. TGAAG was influenced by the Minneapolis scene (including the Replacements and Husker Du), and closer to home, the RI Punk/Hardcore scene which featured "Verbal Assault" and "Positive Outlook".
