One fine day in mid September, those big tow’rs came crashing down.
All the pain and sorrow, and friends lost upon that ground.
A sword it ripped through our hearts, it tore on through our souls,
All these long years later, ain’t it time to get us whole?

Chorus: And ten years onward, Dear God, what have we done?
We’ve killed some sons and daughters,
watched them perish one by one…
Have we made the poor man richer? Have we salved the widow’s grief?
And for all our retribution, have we found us any peace?

Chorus
I could say that you’re a heathen, you could call me an infidel,
It don’t matter what we say, we’re not in charge of heav’n or hell…
How can we bring judgement? Don’t we know it’s not our job?
If we keep on seeking vengeance, we’ll only see more angry mobs…

Chorus
Can’t we find some toleration? Could help heal our broken hearts…
We don’t have to like each other, It’s in fear that evil starts.
Gotta move past all the sorrow, won’t you join me, take my hand?
And if we can help each other, it might bring peace in all the lands.
