Ebony Shaunte' Hebert began rapping in her freshman year of high schol. She soon joined up with her brother P.J. and was later featured in the group S.U.G. (Southern Untamed Guerillaz) with Demetrious "D" Keller Derrick "Twin" Keller. Raping really wasn't anything new to her because she's been influenced by music all of her life. She received exposure to every genre of music available by both sides of her family. Ebony is the cousin of rap artist mack 10 and the worlds famous Zydeco legends "Beauxjoc" and "Steprideaux". Ebony's Father Jason Jones, was an influetial part of the Wreck Shop family during their early years, so she grew up listening to extremely talented rappers like Fat Pat, Lil Keke, and Big Hawk, She Was destined to be a rapper.

Born and raised in Houston, Ebony brings that 3rd coast sound with a certain crispness and sharpness. Ebony grew up up on the South side, 3rd Ward, Southpark, and Acres Home area. She recalls recalls the days of listening to Mike Jones freesyle outside her grandmother's window in the Lexinton Trails Apartments. This was the spark she needed to ignite her inner fire and pursue her rap career.

Ebony's performance is like no other. She is lyrically and vocally gifted and her delivery is brilliant. Combine these attibutes together and you het her phenomenal sound.
