“These cats are all from Los Alamos and play rock,rock-a billy, jump-blues and swing. The lead singer and guitarist is DK Warner, on keyboards is Aaron Anderson; Scott Beguin plays drums, Rob Heineman plays bass and Quinn Marksteiner’s on sax. The band is led by DK’s twangy guitar and a ripping rhythm section. The guys have greasy hair, pointy boots and live to make you dance and share a good time. Their music is mostly classic rockabilly covers by such acts as the Paladins, Nick Curran, Ronnie Dawson, Southern Culture On The Skids, the Stray Cats and other great rockers. DK has also written some outrageous songs for the group. It’s a take on songs that sound like they’re rooted in the 1950’s with a sort of punk attitude.”
"DK and the Affordables Take Crowd to Rockabilly Heaven"
“DK & the Affordables is a very busy Los Alamos rockabilly, roots-rock, jump blues and swing band. They’ve become favorites at the Pajarito Brewpub & Grill and the Pajarito Ski Hill events. They also have played local casinos, The Cowgirl in Santa Fe and southern Colorado venues. They have become one of the best dance bands in New Mexico and are very entertaining! DK is a great showman.”
“We'd like to send a HUGE Thank You to DK & The Affordables for putting on an amazing show for us last night! We had an amazing turn out and everyone had an great time. We hope to have these guys back for everyone SOON!!!”
“The Affordables jumping, jiving roots music is sure to get you moving.”
