DJ Fumo. 

Turntablism is where it's at and that's what I love. Fresh crispy cuts and bangin beats.

Born in Italy and raised in Japan, I now live between Tokyo, Firenze and Toronto. Alot of my influences come from my parents' old records - Marvin Gaye, Al Green, James Brown, Diana Ross, Robert Jones - which I was able to find under a heap of my dad's ABBA shit.

After listening to hip hop tracks which sampled old funk and soul, I knew this was going to be the soundtrack to my life. I became very attached to the Italian hip hop scene while living in Japan, and a prominent Italian turntablist - DJ Gruff (Isola Posse All Stars, Sangue Misto, Zero Stress, Alien Army) - who resides in Japan gave me my first scratch record when I was 15.

He pushed me to buy an actual turntable instead of wrecking my dad's old Kenwood. My first turntable was a third-hand belt drive, accompanied by the cheapest mixer I could find. I've been scratching since then. 

Hip hop is definitely my passion, but as a DJ, I believe it's good to be able to spin just about any kind of music.

I am currently working on an all-turntablist album, making songs with every aspect created by the turntable & scratching.
