Dirty5Thirty is a four piece instrumental hip hop band hailing from Chapel Hill, NC. Lead by their emcee, Geno Eaves, they have set out to bring the people conscious hip hop funk music. Music with a message, music that makes you groove and move. Dirty5Thirty is very diverse to say the least, and brings various forms of hip hop music from night to night.
A demonstration of these influences can be seen in, "ITSNOTGONNABELIKEITWASBEFORE", the band's first full length LP. Dirty5Thirty is ready to work, having played over 100 shows at over 30 venues in two years. They are for the cause, raising over $2000 for the Lineberger Cancer Research Center at UNC-Chapel HIll through the creation, promotion and planning of "Project Elevation," an eight band festival held in April of 2005.
At the moment Dirty5Thirty is maintaining a busy performing schedule throughout the American Southeast, and are always trying to branch out and do more. Sometimes equipped with guest vocalists and/or DJ's, Dirty5Thirty brings the party. We are currently looking and available for the right supporting, headlining, and/or touring opportunities.
