DIGITAL CHEMISTRY / Press

“Formación: Rob Fowler: guitarras y voz Cliff Peddicord: bajo y voz Glenn Strom: batería Digital Chemistry will delight anyone looking developments in progressive rock from a melodic standpoint and hard trends. The group makes a big boost for their instrumental moments that dominate perfectly, all seasoned with a good digital production arrangements, effective and complete mastery of the intricate work in a recording studio. The result is nothing artificial, despite the emphasis on study arrangements. Instead, the music here is full of freshness exposed, full of originality and musical intelligence, especially in the playing, direct and honest, full of vocal harmonies, good instrumental passages, extraordinary textures and intricate arrangements that make this album one that will be most desirable. Fans of Neil Peart and Bill Bruford are set to benefit from the work of Strum with music that powerfully reminds Rush or Kansas. American progressive sound excellently. A delight”

““Just Add Water” will satisfy anyone’s craving for progressive, melodic hard rock of the highest quality. With its emphasis on instrumentation and composition, this is music bereft of fancy digital effects and studio manipulations. Rather, Digital Chemistry is as real as it gets in content, emotion and intellectuality, for their musicianship is that of three seasoned players who have obviously put a lot of thought and effort into crafting each and every song. There’s an obvious attention to detail on this CD, a vibe borne on music given a fine polish before sending it out to the masses. Digital Chemistry is: Rob Fowler (guitar/lead Vocals) Cliff Peddicord (bass/ vocals) and Glenn Strom (drums). These guys are Tight (with a capital “T”) ! Peddicord’s vocal harmonizing adds a lush layer of texture, and Strom’s drum work brings to mind the greats like Neil Peart and Bill Bruford. If you dig Queensryche, Rush, King’s X, Kansas and the like, you’ll love Digital Chemist”

“Pre-release Review of Digital Chemistry's debut CD "Just add Water" Paying homage to their influences, yet not directly copying them, Digital Chemistry has crafted a CD unlike any post-grunge Seattle offering to date. Hailing from the small community of Des Moines, Washington, they invoke the influences of such bands as Kansas, Rush,. Dream Theater, Steve Morse Band, Queensryche, and strangely enough, Green Day and Hoobastank...(and others), while crafting a uniquely eclectic sound all their own. Clocking in at just under an hour, "Just add Water" is a self-produced eclectic collection of songs, connected by the multiple story line threads of "family, hope, faith, love, strength of heart and of character". From the opening arpeggiated guitar riff of "Real Life" to the elongated odd time "Mr Greed", the music is well produced, tightly played and arranged. Drummer Glenn Strom, bassist Cliff Peddicord, and guitarist Rob Fowler have crafted a "relevant" and wonderfully lush CD...”

“A quote from one of Digital Chemistry'soundcloud followers: " No Joke, I am a big progressive rock fan (Dream Theater, Opeth, Porcupine Trees) when I read your bio, before I started listening I thought, "I hope so". Indeed accurately written. You guys sound great, I here those hooks, a bit of that fusion (yes I am jazz fan too). First track I heard a little Rush, great guitar solo in the second tr ack (Mirror). Chances fires up with almost an 80s rock flare, but moves on quickly... great vocal feel (i can't place it). These songs are terrific. Keep em coming. I'll be listening. Check me out, what I write is different than what I listen to. You'll see what I mean. Hope you find something interesting enough to Follow back as I try and build a better presence on SC. Regards Bill..." ...we are so proud to have followers who understand and embrace our direction..thank you!”

“Tremendous musicianship. Exceptional engineering work. A professional package. This is what fans and music reviewers alike have been saying about the not-so-easy-to-categorize music of Digital Chemistry. And it’s not easy in a good way. Offering a completely unique sound with echoes of greats like Rush, Tool, Metallica and Joe Satriani, this tight band blends progressive rock, alternative rock, hard rock and fusion jazz to create music with depth and top-notch musicianship. The best way to experience Digital Chemistry is to see them live. Their music translates perfectly to arena rock venues. Like the classic rock heroes of days gone by, Digital Chemistry is at their best when playing for live audiences – another way in which this band shows influences that span the annals of rock. “This is great! Really well thought out progression and the recording is top notch too. Great job - RW / Yes, this is absolutely wonderful, it reminds me of Rush, not the music but the progression. Vocals is very good, fits beautifully with the music. Great job. -Pete-intergalactic noise / I agree I also get a Rush vibe from the progression (not a bad thing BTW). What I really dig other than the energy and the music itself (love the tone on the guitar) is the recording and mix. Everything is right where it's supposed to be and you guys are tight in the mix. Very cool piece here and very well done. Can't wait to hear more! -Daddy Rabbit / This was a staple on my radio show and I'm really glad to see it back up on Mix and getting some of the love it so richly deserves. I have really liked this tune from the first time I heard it and I also get the Rush vibe from the musical sensibilities standpoint. Thanks for sharing this one!! EBS - Surgeon”

““Caught this one by chance, when it opened up Rush came very much to mind. Like your previous song the musicianship is tremendous. The engineering work is exceptional. A very professional package well done” "Digital Chemistry @ Uncle Sam's in Spanaway.... Digital Chemistry is an Original Band, their music, lyrics, personality are all entertaining. Their style is hard to describe with a blend of alternative, progressive, classic rock, jazz and blues... Rob Fowler on the guitar/lead vocals writes all the music and lyrics, Cliff Peddicord on bass and backing vocals and Glenn Strom on the Drums..." - Monica Garcia Sargent, Mouses' Dream Photo (Jan 30, 2012) markyone - Misposure- reviews “An honorable 5 stars, no doubt! ~ ***** ~ Great tune, awesome playing, excellent voice / yep, think you all are winners!
