DCOC draw it’s tactics from a long line of civil rights activists and impliments grassroots organzinizing efforts based on outreach and community education. DCOC is a non-profit, non-partisan, grassroots political action coalition focused on issues specific to those most directly effected by the current economic and political reality in Dallas,TX. DCOC realizes that the only way to combat a dysfunctional and entrenched systemic oppression is to raise the level of a majority of people’s awareness to a point where the community may take control of it’s own destiny. Dress to the Nines (D2N) is a cross-cultural fundraising event that blends amazing designs from locally and internationally based fashion designers with entertainment from gifted locally based performers. All proceeds will benefit Oxfam America. D2N will take place on Saturday, September 29, 2012 The doors will open at 7:30pm and the show will begin promptly at 9pm.
