"The next band almost made me forget I was at a rock show. Almost. They’re called Devil Made Microphones and they were hilarious! Don’t let their first goofy impression fool you, though, they also knew how to play some damn good music! When they weren’t cracking jokes, Devil Made Microphones were busy jamming on their guitars and delivering some nice vocals. These guys were some of my favorites from the night simply because you could tell they were having fun and doing what they love. Passion is everything in the music world. They may not have had the hardest riffs or screaming vocals on their side, but they managed to translate their passion for fun into the crowd. If you ever need to go to a show to just chill out and smile while listening to some sweet tunes, I highly suggest Devil Made Microphones"
"It's rootsy, low-key grunge-folk, with acoustic guitars and coffeehouse percusion, but the band definitely has a sense of humor. You gotta check out their cover of the SNL Digital Short song Motherlover." DMM, Artist of the Day
“SONG OF THE DAY: DEVIL MADE MICROPHONES ‘LOVE WITH A U’ Devil Made Microphones is a five piece acoustic band, and has been in the Sarasota Music Scene since 2006”
"Pastimes Pub assembles a solid trio of rising Gulf Coast alt-rock bands for what’s sure to be a nice balance of heavy and light. Sarasota vocal harmony-heavy melodic five-piece Devil Made Microphones write radio-friendly acoustic-rock ballads in the vein of Staind’s lighter fare."
"...They will be joined this Friday by SRQ’s own Devil Made Microphones, whose multilayered vocal harmonies and guitar part trade-offs have made them a fast-rising favorite around town."
"For its first five years, DMM was an acoustic endeavor, a trio of introspective, impassioned, harmonizing guitarists that also joked around between tunes with its strong following. Having recently added a bassist and drummer, the guitarists have plugged in and revamped the sound, keeping the lighthearted banter."
