About
dekay media is an independant record label from the north west of England. Set up in 2006, the idea was to provide exposure to artists working outside the mainstream of music, art and film. Early in 2007, the label put out it's first release.. This album, comprising 5 five dark, atmospheric pieces with equally dark vocals, set the tone for the label as an underground, exerimental outfit. The label's resident artists (Kevin McGuire and Mole) also have helped to establish the label's identity by providing album covers which could be equally at home on your wall as in your CD collection. As 2007 drew to a close, dekay media released another of their artist's work... These three improvised pieces of modern composition, for cello and piano, provide the listener with varying moods, ranging from aching sadness to stratospheric optimism and back again. Future releases are also planned for 2010, including a possible collaboration between i...deviant and prolific japanese cyber punk author, Kenji Siratori. Also planned is the release of more guitar based, band type material from skunklord and, possibly, others. Whatever happens, the focus will always remain on releasing experimental and interesting material. Thanks for stopping by.....
