About
Soft touches of elegance. Sincerity. Passionate hues of grace. This is the music of Deim Robinson. His first concert was playing the piano at age 4 in his church. His formal musical training was put aside at 14 to make way for high school sports. 5 years later, A 12-month tour with the international music troupe Up With People rekindled Robinson's interest in music and while in college he had to borrow guitars from friends to practice and compose. He didn't decide to take the singing and songwriting seriously until a friend gave him a brand new guitar and said "You need this" and when shortly after his sister told him that "People need to hear these songs".
Robinson moved to Spain in 1998 and was quickly recruited into Funkdacion, one of the premiere bands of funk in that country, as its lead singer. Robinson drafted the lyrics and melodies of the group's CD's Urban Casino (Ambar 2001) and Fun People (Ambar 2007). With Funkdacion, Robinson has appeared in many of Europe's finest Jazz Festivals.
Season's of Love is the title of this debut solo digital release co-produced by songwriters and producers Javier Aviles and Cheluis Salmerón. Mixing the influence of his diverse USA musical heritage and the flamenco culture of Andalusia where he lives, we get treasures like Sad Song and the bilingual Sabes Que Te Quiero. Reverb Nation has the pleasure to feature exclusive releases like 2000 Years Ago which explores Robinson's take on the life and message of Jesus Christ and To Thineself be True, of which Robinson says " In this world we live in today I think it's important that people pursue their dreams, beliefs and convictions but only after asking themselves, Is this really what I want for my life?. I imagine we'll all be much better off when we answer that question."
