Lover of experience and discover by itself, DEELIGHT transfer to the turntables this way of life, making that in each set and each tune, the improvise and experiencing give body to a unique musical moment, able to surprise the highest standards of those who love music in its pure form: unformatted and unlabeled!
DEELIGHT likes to play funky, soulfully, jazzy, but always trendy, electronic and different!
Since ever fanatic consumer of all kinds of music [since a good “Fado” - Portuguese popular music - to a smashing tune of progressive trance!], his adventure thru the world of turntables and faders has started back in 1998, when challenged by a friend accept to play 1 week in a small club of his home town! This week turn into 3 years! 2 more residencies in local clubs complete the learning period which allow him to adventure in a freelance career.
His eclectic dj sets and his ability to surprise the dance floor with “démodé” classic tunes, along with is informal attitude towards the act of Dj'ing [because he considers that it only makes sense for people to have fun if he is the first to enjoy the party!!) makes is bookings grow to different venues in several locations.
2008 started the best way for DEELIGHT as we was the official DJ of Portimão's New Year Party, playing to a crowd of 200.000.
In last Easter he was one of the Top DJ's of Kadoc Disco Parties, acting in the Main Stage and Night of this Portuguese popular venue.
DEELIGHT plays an average of 120 gigs per year, what shows the acceptance that his work has had by the market, in the best venues of locations like Portugal, England, Dominican Republic and Spain. His global musical culture, along with his versatility and dance floor sensibility, make him a warranty of a big night of fun!
