Deejay Young is a freshly talented nineteen with graduated education from Howard W. Blake High School of the Arts in Tampa, FL and continued education at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee, FL. Majoring in English and minor in Theatre Performance, Young is globally on top of his performance skills, and adores the presence of the stage. He was born and raised in Tampa, FL and has always had a passion for music and singing. He has been singing since the age of 3, and touring since age 5, starring in the gospel-theatrical stage play, "Daddy Please Don't Leave", with a local gospel singing group. Since then, Young has developed a strong desire for performing and music to which his style reflects that of a Hip-Hop and R&B soul vibe. However, he crosses boundaries of all genres of singing and artistry. Young has recieved many accollades for his voice, including NAACP ACT-SO "Best Vocal Performance" for his cover of "Someone Watching Over You" by Yolanda Adams. Some of his influences include Billie Holiday, Beyonce, Luther Vandross, Usher, and Chrisette Michele.
