Metalfest Croatia 2012 band list Daily schedule of playing Meet & Greet point schedule CAMP AND FESTIVAL AREA PARKING: It is allowed to park your vehicle next to your tent in Autocamp Borik, according to their regulations. For visitors who won’t use the camp, i.e. who will stay in the nearby hotels or hostel, those facilities also have their own parking lots. The entire zone around the festival area is a tourist zone and there is a series of big and small parking lots that are free of charge. TOILETS / SHOWERS / HYGIENE: The festival area will be equipped with a sufficient number of portable toilets (men, women, disabled). Please keep them clean, so the level of hygiene could remain sufficiently high. The bracelet and the one-time shower coupons will be available for purchase next to the showers. Toilets and showers are included in the price for camping area users. TRASH: The camping space is privately owned. We kindly ask you to dispose of your waste and trash in the containers provided. Keep the camping space clean, because we want to organize another Metalfest in 2013. Follow directions from the camp staff and security. Visitors who don’t behave accordingly will lose the right of stay at the festival and camp and will be removed from the festival and camp area. CITY BUS LINES TO THE FESTIVAL: The bus line named Puntamika (Borik) goes from the main bus and train stations all the way to the festival and camp entrance. All Metalfest visitors with the festival bracelet on their hands will have free usage of that line. The departure schedule from the main bus and railway station and the central city bus station (“Mala pošta”) can be found on Liburnija transport company pages. ATM There is a series of ATMs and bank offices in the nearest vicinity of the festival area, and downtown Zadar is also relatively close (3.5 kilometers), so you’ll be able to get ahold of cash practically whenever you need it. As Croatia isn’t in the Euro zone yet, you can only get Croatian kunas from the ATMs. Take notice that the exchange rate is generally from 7.20 up to 7.50 kunas for one euro. HOTELS, HOSTELS, APARTMENTS, DAY TRIPS: The festival and camp areas are connected to Zadar’s biggest tourist complex, Borik – Falkensteiner, and are equally near a big hostel which is part of the Croatian Youth Hostel Association and offers discounts for owners of the Euro 26 Card. Our apartment lodging partner, Terra Travel, has prepared a special apartment offer for Metalfest Croatia’s guests, including meet-up and transfer from and to the airport (if you arrive by air), and discounts in certain restaurants. Terra Travel has also organized trips to the five nearby national parks (North Velebit, Plitvice lakes, Krka, Paklenica, Kornati). The special prices by Falkensteiner and Terra Travel will be announced soon. For detailed information on trips and lodging please check out Accommodation in Zadar. BEACHES: The festival area is a peninsula, a former camp, featuring pebble or rocky beaches on all three of its sides, where you can sunbathe and swim in the Adriatic whenever you feel like it during the festival, and drink cocktails from the nearby festival cocktail bar. The festival will have a lifeguard service present during all three festival days, sunscreen and other beach equipment promotional sales.
