Dead Amble / Press
“You might be excused from thinking Dead Amble, with a rambunctious country sound and a song like "Tennessee Honey" hailed from Southern parts. While it's true that some of the members have lived all over the country, this band is New York City-based. It sounds like a tune for a saloon. Or maybe a campfire. Either way, I love how it sounds like there's a whole crowd singing along. It's definitely upbeat, energetic, and music for drinkin' and dancin'. Check out recently released Ills Within Thrills (cool title) for more.”
“Featured as part of Richard Rycroft's new London based podcast (and pilot episode!) "Blue Dot Cafe"! Enjoy the episode, we hit around 24min. http://richardrycroft.net/2012/08/14/the-blue-dot-cafe/”
“Dead Amble make raucous party music with the basic building blocks of blue grass, country and roots music. Theirs is a punk country on the more lighthearded side of groups like Two Gallants or O’Death, with songs like “Double Wide Pride” and “Tennessee Honey,” they celebrate the simple joys of backwater lifestyle. ”
