Bio
The original Deacons were formed in 1995 by bandleader John "Rev. Jake" O'Connor. The band performs original and stylized Blues, Jazz, Rockabilly, Rock and Gospel.
The group reformed in 2007 with O'Connor and former Deacons guitarist Cliff Schaumburg. Keyboardist Jim Wilson and drummer Shawn Paxton joined later to round out the current lineup. The group performs frequently in Virginia, Maryland and beyond.
