In a world full of darkness and desperation it is easy to find music that fills the needs of the flesh, feeding anger and placing a facade of hopelessness within our minds. It is this very reason that, days of waiting was formed and would fight against the grain of the normal brew of rock/metal bands, and send a positive yet powerful message through music and lyrics, to those who are disconnected from God
About
Justin Myers (Vocals), Brian Court (Drums), Joel Bills (Guitar), and Dustin Alcock (Bass) make up the band, each bringing their own style and experiences to create the life that is days of waiting. With a sound ranging from beautiful to brutal days of waiting is a band that longs to break through to the unsaved in hopes that they, through music people will hear the word of God. “Those who do not know God really do not understand what being a Christian is, all they know is what Satan and the world around them fills their heads with. Therefore they will not willingly pick up a Christian CD and listen to it, but if we can create a sound that they can relate to and enjoy, then maybe….just maybe they will hear the words and start to understand that God truly loves them and longs to be with them.” – Myers. Their debut album “Enter: The World EP” introduces you to the band and their desperation for the salvation of humanity. This is the most important issue addressed on the album, you can see it throughout each song, for instance “Listen” is about hearing God and the purpose He has for you, “Fight Song” is about fighting against the attacks of Satan and how we have the victory through Jesus Christ. On and on they stress the importance of relationship with Jesus, and how important it is that we share this message with others.
The future of days of waiting is unknown to them, however they do know one thing and that is they will continue to reach out to those who are in need and will never stop what God has put on their hearts to do, which is to create music with a passion to help guide and save the lost. They will continue to seek God’s will and as always will wait upon the Lord, as these are our days of waiting.
To create quality and inspirational music in order to reach people for Christ Jesus and edify fellow Christians. To accomplish this by not compromising our sound and beliefs. To seek God’s direction and guidance for this band and in our personal lives.
