DAYS LIKE MONTHS grabs the listener with musical hooks and an engaging sound that portrays their personal musical journey. That sound is reflected in their allusive lyrics and rhythmic spirit, whose influence is life itself, and lives in the music. The band members share a mutual nationality (all Israelis), and years of experience in the industry between them, as they all managed to perform (before the age of 25) with some of the most renowned and well respected musicians in their home country. Days Like Months is ready to rock you. Shay Arlich, singer-songwriter, has a sultry, hypnotic voice that is spell binding; Itzik Cohen, a drummer who incorporates ethnic beats that move your body into a percussive dance; Boaz Freund, an award winning cinematographer, whose finger picking roots add an amazing texture to the sound; and Haran Barak, whose background in Latin/Jazz/ and classic rock. Together they bring a unique and complementing playing styles and an outright sexiness to the Days Like Months sound. This is Days Like Months. As the band’s music took form, it started to develop in an Indie Rock direction, echoing a mix of musical influences such as Radiohead, Jeff Buckley, U2 and The Smiths to name a few. A hint of ethnic elements are subtly intertwined, which gives it diversity, exotic qualities and depth. The material, written by Shay, is about love, war and what’s in between. “To write well about love one has to experience it, to write about pain one has to know it, and to write about war you have to be in one.†(Shay Arlich) The band is performing to sold out audiences all over NYC Christy Thompson is a New York City based artist who moved from her hometown of Destin, FL immediately after high school to pursue her passion for music.
