Now Available - "Hear"

"Hear, the new disc by worship leader and guitarist David Taylor, certainly offers a righteous collection of Messianic rock. Its themes and words are taken from Scripture. 

Like his previous record Avodah, it is a worship album geared towards entering into God’s presence. Yet, one thing that distinguishes this album from much that is out there, thematically and musically, is its tension - a tension between Israel’s present and future (“For Zion’s Sake,” “If I Forget You”); between living in this world and living for the next (“Hear”); between realizing where one has come from, and forgetting what lies behind, focusing on the Author and Perfecter of our faith (“Hope in the Lord,” “Kedushah”). 

Conveying a Jewish sensibility, and a mature musical vocabulary, this album's aim is true, and its goal is Yeshua."

Hope of Israel Congregation is truly blessed to have David Taylor as its Worship Leader and Cantor, who has written, performed and recorded a new collection of songs designed to magnify and exalt our great G-d. As with David’s prior album “Avodah”, his latest album “Hear” provides the listener with the means by which to praise G-d and His faithfulness through memorable melodies and lively rhythms.

Anyone familiar with David’s music already knows that he is committed to using the Word of G-d to sing praise and adoration back to G-d. His latest album is no exception; and, speaking from personal experience, it is wonderful to have David’s melodies pop into my head when I later come across the verses of Scripture on which his songs are based. What a great way to memorize Bible verses! Also, I love to contemplate that this must have been similar to the experience of those who heard the Psalms of King David, which were sung in the worship services of ancient Israel. 

I strongly encourage anyone who loves the faithful G-d of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to “Hear” David’s latest album.
