Q: What is the secret to getting great endorsements like Stacey adams and Stetson?
A: Factors of gaining an endorsement are mysterious but primarily you have to be of significant benefit to a company's brand which means the first thing you should do is to pick an appropriate company, make sure there is a legitimate tie-in to your identity. Next is to make sure you know everything you can about the company and make sure that you are someone who ties in with their product and ideals. It doesn't make sense to try and get a sponsorship from a company that has a product that your fan base wouldn't be interested in either. Another key aspect is to write a concise letter that explains specific (not speculative) benefits to their brand by associating with you. Make sure you aren't trying to gain a sponsorship from a company who wouldn't be cool with your "other public interests" as well. No company wants to tie themselves in with a radical unknown or questionable behavior who could hurt their brand by association. There are many factors but writing a clear, cogent letter is key and more than anything else I'd recommend spelling the company's name properly, as in "Stacy Adams" I'm pretty sure nothing would get an endorsement letter a quicker trip to the circular file than that.
