Dave majored in jazz guitar performance at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. After doing the lounge circuit during the disco era, he became a founding member (guitarist and composer) of the seminal Chicago fusion band, Juggular.

Through the 90s, Dave performed with the TVK Orchestra, a Chicago-based special events and wedding band.

After taking a break from music for several years, Dave has more recently been drawn to Chicago blues. This led him to play with Elmore James Jr., and other Chicago south-side blues and R&B activities.
