The Daughters of Bluegrass was an idea by Lorraine Jordan and Gena Britt. They both agreed that there were many great female pickers & vocalists in bluegrass genre and there would be a demand for a musical project showing off the talented women. In 2001 they put together first project which was picked up by the CMH Label and entitled The Daughters of American Bluegrass.
