D! Arryval was born in the Western Kingston region of Jamaica (W.I) where his initial inspiration came from singing on desks in his Basic & Pre-Schools for his teachers and classmates. D! Arryval attended Calabar High School where he chant rhymes with another classmate and musical artist Baby Cham. Together they would constantly spit rhymes that would inspire and create a massive crowd. With the inspirational responses received,
By the late 1980's D! Arryval realized that he could do a good job at sing-overs as well as the ability of creating his own lyrical content. He decided to craft his material by promoting initial performances in the presence of his friends and colleagues. Later, in the same year his talent and musical potential was discovered by the late musical artist, Duckman, (R.I.P. -12/10/2005) , who decided to take him under his wings. D! Arryval performed most of his years as the Hit Man,' which symbolizes a man of many hit songs.' The name D! Arryval means - the time is now,' and was acquired in 2004.
D! Arryval was able to make appearances at many scheduled, organized events within the rural areas of Kingston, such as Duhaney Park , Denham Town and Half Way Tree just to name a few.
D! Arryval migrated to Boston , Massachusetts , of the Unites States in 1995, where he continued his musical venture and gained instant recognition from promoters as well as fans of the dancehall music fraternity. He later went on to open shows for other international artists such as: Sean Paul, Mad Cobra, Baby Cham, Elephant Man, Capleton, Beenie Man, Shabba Ranks and the Beastie Boys.
D! Arryval was recently featured on the BET Wild Out Wednesday Competition, where he came out victorious. As a result of the win, he will be featured on BET on a later date to be announced. Check out the Video below...
