**************BIO OF Da Public's Eye****************
Maxton, NC gave birth to many things, one of them being, the 25 year old MC born Jason (J-Roc) Stanley, on March 28, 1981. The world will come to know him as Da Public's Eye. This small town native like many artists began his musical career in the church. He has been doing music for over ten years, but he has been around it all of his life. His mother was in a local group that appeared on American Band Stand in 1972 and his uncle is the late legendary Jazz Player Johnny Organ of Philadelphia, PA. To speak a new life into existence is just what Da Public's Eye has done, once he realized that there was a whole world outside of his hometown, and they did not care were he was from. It was his passion for his craft, hard work and dedication that guided and humbled him to follow the path that was sure not to be an easy road. Longtime fans reflect on Da Public's Eye as J-Roc a superior student, whose wild ways as a youngster has lead him to become an inspiration for the kids that are in the same place he was, during his younger years. In 2005, after making some career transitions, Jason changed his name from J –Roc to Da Public's Eye. Marketing is not an issue for Da Public's Eye, he already knows who is audience is, from his extraordinary way with the youth to his charming ways with the ladies. His ability to walk in a room and grab the spotlight along with his gift of gab, gives him the tools to roll with the best of them. Now, embarking on his musical journey Da Public's Eye is Hip Hop's hidden treasure. Since the release of his first mixtape ... I'm Bout My Bizn$$, Da Public's Eye has had an implausible series of hits: "Maxton Anthem," "I'm Bout My Bizn$$," "Block 2 Da Booth," "Da Creed" ... the list goes on and on. Plus unlike several of today's independent artists, he has built an extensive list of hits while maintaining underground respectability as well as mainstream. His first single The Maxton Anthem won the battle of the beat on Foxy 99 in Fayetteville, NC. Since then he has held supreme reign in the “Independent Spotlight”, almost every Sunday thereafter. You can find Da Public's Eye on any given day in the studio brainstorming, laying down verses and unselfishly shouting out other underground NC artist and production companies such as NorthStar Production, his brothers company based out of their hometown. Da Public's Eye has performed at several venues around the NC area including , but not limited to Bennett College For Women, Montas Lounge, Club 550, Sunray Entertainment's Annual Block Party, several bigwig events, immeasurable neighborhood function and on his countless trips home completing community service he performs annually at the Making a Change Foundation Benefit. His first mixtape showed his unprecedented capability of jumping in the industry feet first. While following his first project which had undoubtedly set the standard, Da Public's Eye did not fall short, but raised the bar with the self entitled “Da Public's Eye”. “Da Public's Eye” showcases a plethora of personalities, from pimp mode to spirituality. It was not only his goal to get people familiar with the name change but to really make them stand up and pay attention. It definitely accomplished what it set out to do. With several notable tracks such as “Bunch Of Lames”, that gives a new meaning to boastin', it gives everything from slick word play to clever punch lines. While “My Insecurities”, gives a story telling vibe that is so vivid anyone can picture it and relate. Carolina Pimpin' takes us to the unique style and character that defines the voice of North Carolina. Subsequently, “Paying Homage” is just what the name says, a tribute to those that have passed on who influenced him, as well as displays his lyrical stamina. Also, the grown and sexy anthem “I Got What You Need” is the undeniable jewel. It is highly appreciated by the ladies and the fellas, because it makes the ladies feel sexy, and allows the fellas to spit game. Da Public's Eye is currently working on several projects and constantly grinding the streets to get his music to the masses. The ability to follow your dreams and be determined to make them a reality is what separates the artist from the superstars.
