The 20th Man Fund Charity Farnham and Monique Brumby join Daniela for a Cause SUNSHINE singer-songwriter Daniela Corso has enlisted the aid of some big names in the music industry to help the work veteran youth worker Les Twentyman does in the West. Rob Farnham (son of Australian icon John) and dual ARIA award-winner Monique Brumby will join Corso for a night of live music at the Williamstown RSL on Friday, August 10. They aim to raise money for the 20th Man Fund, which helps struggling families and youths at risk. The acoustic concert already has support from the Way Out West blues and roots music club, which regularly attracts leading Australian and overseas acts to the popular RSL. “It's an honour to be sharing the stage alongside two great Australian talents and raising money for a cause that helps so many disadvantaged youths and families in the western suburbs,” Corso said. The local artist, who grew up in Albion, will be accompanied by guitarist George Chris, performing many of the songs they have written together. Rob Farnham, who began playing in bands as a 17-year-old, is following in his famous dad's footsteps as he pursues a solo career. He said his dad has backed him all the way. “He is my hero, he is my dad and my singing idol. To have his support means a lot to me,” Farnham will perform songs from an EP he has recorded in the United States and Melbourne. Monique Brumby has established herself as one of Australia's premier recording artists and songwriters, winning two ARIA awards and recording five albums. She has toured Australia and the U.S. with The Bangles, Jeff Buckley and The Stranglers, and Don McLean. She has written songs with Paul Kelly and Rob Hirst of Midnight Oil. She will be a big drawcard at the Williamstown fundraiser. Monique Brumby and Daniela Corso recently shared the stage at Federation Square to raise money for breast cancer research and awareness. ENTRY will be $15 for the big night of live music at Williamstown RSL. DOORS OPEN 7PM

Daniela and Leah go way back and have been supporting eachother through their music for years, both persuing their dreams. Now they are wanting to share all the songs that they have written with you in a series of intimate evenings involving the beautiful sound of acoustic guitars and their voices. Leah Muscat is a Melbourne based independent Australian singer songwriter who started writing songs at the tender age of 9. Her lyrics and her suburban edge grab you with a realness that triggers a raw emotion and somehow makes you feel that she has been following you around for the last ten years just so she can write a song that will make you cry the first time you hear it. You walk away humming her melody or churning through a memory of the people who have really touched your own heart. Then, when you think that the quiet husk in her voice is all about soft emotions, she rips into the next tune that could make you a bit scared that she’s about to rip the mask off that popular, pretentious girl you knew at school, who you kind of looked up to but didn’t really like and expose her frailties, innermost fears and the source of her pretention to the world. From country rock or an emotional melody, your time spent listening to her music will take you to all sorts of different places and leaves you waiting for the next one. Leah has been playing across Melbourne for years around many of Melbourne’s live venues and throughout regional Victoria. The release of her self titled EP is around the corner! **Supporting these ladies on the evening....** Madeleine Wood, kick-started her career in 2008 when she was selected as one of the support acts for rapper EVE on her National ‘Here I Am’ Australian tour. MZ.WOOD’s two hit singles ‘Shanti’ and ‘Rest Room Walls’ are set for release September this year, with commercial radio airplay scheduled for both singles. MZ.WOOD has recorded tracks with some of Australia’s best known producers including The Calculators (Mushroom Publishing) who have credits such as Daniel Merriweather, Snog and The Spazzys. Emily began seriously taking on songwriting at 16, arranging big band and jazz music as opposed to the alternative pop sound with elements of blues she has now. She spent high school and the start of university studying trombone and guitar and any instruments her family stopped playing but didn’t think about singing until 18 and despite her outgoing and witty personality her songs let you behind the curtains and give a honesty to her music and performances, often unseen in the pop culture. “I want the world to see and feel what I feel when I’m on stage, I’m a positive person and my music reflects the best and worst in all of us, I want to write music that not only makes people happy but lets them look at themselves in way they haven’t and see something possible that wasn’t there before.” Says Emily of her music
