About OBLITERIDE: 25, 50, 100 & 180 Mile Bike Rides to help END CANCER... "Sure, it looks like a bike ride, but Obliteride is really a new, community-wide effort to accelerate lifesaving, breakthrough research at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center. We are creating a movement of people committed to obliterating cancer and saving lives faster. It culminates in a memorable, inspiring bike ride August 9-11, 2013 that is quintessentially Northwest. Choose from four routes and make a day or a weekend of it. And thanks to our sponsors, 100% of every dollar raised goes directly to research so the more money we raise as a community, the closer we are to a cure. It’s going to take all of us. Ride. Donate. Volunteer. Tell others. Ending cancer starts here." Please see their website for details on how to get involved and donate! Thank you and I'll see you out there. -Dana

Q: Have you ever thought of taking your production to a higher level with a major producer and recording in Nashville?

A: Wow. Absolutely Doc. ABSOLUTELY. In fact I almost moved end of September. So, why not? My understanding is everyone and their second cousin is playing, singing and living country/bluegrass Americana in Nashville...I do not have a BIG connection, no lead. On the other hand, I have a bigger home-base in Seattle, folks need some country in their souls over here- bigger "demand", not to mention National Anthem circuit over here. I got laid off from my Architecture job September 10 after my Hardrock Cafe gig. I'm currently back in school full time for a couple more months in prep for a 2014 Masters in Nutrition and Dietetics, while pursuing music as full-time as possible. Not an easy balance but when singing is like breathing you make life work. Gotta have a fall back/ plan for one you'll enjoy right? Fortunately I can study school anywhere!! Everybody's asking..."so if music really launches, will you go?" ABSOLUTELY. Not a question for me! "when music launches...you just go." Make like Nike in the 80's America! To say it's my life-goal and dream is less than an understatement. Music is what gives me life and I know it blesses the lives of those around me...and that changes my life. It's about the people. And what more can you ask for in life- that the very thing you love to do gives more than you can imagine? SO...a major producer and record deal in Nashville? ABSOLUTELY. I can't stop thinking about it, praying and playing for it and waiting. As a producer, you could probably predict 90% of my response :). Question for you: Why do you ask? Cheers! D
