Born in the tropical Island of Mauritius, Damien has been performing as a bass player and vocalist on different scenes and stages in his country since the age of fifteen. He has been influenced by Jazz, Latin music, fusion, world music and "Sega" which is the traditional music of his country,which is a 6/8 or 12/8,even a more groovy rhythm.

 In September 2006 he moved to China for more music performances. Damien was playing jazz and fusion in a 4 piece band in Shanghai for 4 months at 'THE HOUSE OF BLUES AND JAZZ'; a famous jazz Club in the city. The band was compose of two other mauritian musician and an australian singer.The band's name is Naturaljazz ;(for more information you can visit the band's web site www.naturaljazz.com) In February 2007 Damien moved to the amazing city of Hangzhou to perform in another great Jazz venue called the 'Jz Club', where he performed for a few months. After this he travelled around China, playing and jamming with every musician he had the opportunity to play with, in places like Jz Club, Piconne, Hobj etc.. in Shanghai and 'Le Rideau Theatre' in Hong Kong.

 After this he flew to Indonesia where he shared his experience with other musicians from around the world in different Jam Sessions in Bali.One of those bands was the Saharadja. In 2008 he made a musical trip around europe (Belgium / Luxembourg / Engalnd / Germany... ) All these experiences and all the people from all around the world he met, have take him to a wider knowledge of the music from all these different cultures.

 Due to this, Damien's sound includes now a variety of tones and even a more flexible style, which are reflected in his present work. Damien is a versatile instrumentalist, his music goes from rock to jazz, from sega to latin and fusion. He is moving his path in the best way to obtain a bigger musical background in order to continue his evolution to a deeper sound in fusion.
