About

My name is Damario Russell aka B.o.s(brother of the struggle) born on feb 3 1989. Born and raised in Charlotte, NC. and I love music. Music is my passion. I started writing raps in the 7th grade. And ever since then, I been getting better and better at it. As you can see my style of music is positive and inspirational. I used to rap about alot of negative things. But I switched my style of music and called it "GD music" which stands for Growth and development music. I always had a thought in the back of mind about rapping positive. But I thought that was'nt gonna get me signed.lol But it was alot of things going on in my life that made me start rapping positive. First of all, I wanted to start being myself, instead of trying to be somebody I'm not. Secondly, my pops got locked up 2 years ago. And that really hurt me because I though he was'nt going back. He doin 10 years right now. Then my uncle got locked up. He doin 8 years. Then I was runnin wild in the street doing everything, then I got locked up. So I decided not to go that route. Ever since then, I stopped hanging around negative people and stayed away from negative environments. I keep to myself because you can't trust nobody. Its a cold, wicked world out here. The best thing to do is keep to your self to avoid drama. It's time for us as African Americans to take care of our younger generation. They are the future. The prison population is packed with black males. Its too many black men in prison. Its too much hate and violence amongst each other. My mission is to send a strong and powerful message to the younger generation. Education is the key to success. And with out it, you not gonna be nothin in life. That street shit is not gonna work. But anyways, I'm not trynna preech, I'm just trynna reach.  GD Musik vol.1 is dropping real soon. I got 14 songs so far. You can listen to all my songs at www.soundclick.com/bosbrotherofthestruggle and don't forget to add me on myspace at www.myspace.com/bos704
