Love Speed Death features Greg Alexanyan, Dairy High' original drummer who rejoined in 2008. This self-produced song became a part of a seven inch split single which Dairy High shared with Jad Fair (Austin, TX, USA). The numbered limited edition 7 inch picture disc is available at shows or just write us an email and we will get you one.

Jad Fair is the singer and guitarist of lo-fi alternative rock group Half Japanese. He also performs and records as a solo artist, as well as collaborating with such artists as Terry Adams, Norman Blake, Kevin Blechdom, Isobel Campbell, Eugene Chadbourne, DQE_(band), Steve Fisk, Fred Frith, God Is My Co-Pilot, Richard Hell, Daniel Johnston, J. Mascis, Monster Party, R. Stevie Moore, Thurston Moore, The Pastels, Strobe Talbot, Teenage Fanclub, The Tinklers, Moe Tucker, Bill Wells, Jason Willett, Adult Rodeo, Lumberob, Yo La Tengo, and John Zorn.

He's also active as a visual artist, drawings as well as papercutting. Many of the album covers are made by Jad. The artwork for Jad's side of the picture disc is based on one of his numerous papercuts which he kindly provided. On 13 October 2007 an exhibition was opened in Spedition in Bremen of his graphical work.

For those willing to purchase the single in the US we would appreciate if you contacted Jad Fair directly. It would be much easier logistically and faster than sending records over the pond.

Graeme Jefferies of the Cakekitchen has been writing and recording his own music for over 20 years. He has toured all over the world and released his material on such notable labels as Homestead, Merge, Flying Nun, Hausmusik and even Warner Brothers and RCA. Starting young, Graeme was part of the early 80s home recording boom championed by Flying Nun Records and enjoyed considerable success with his bands “The Cakekitchen“ and “This Kind of Punishment“. A lot of larger American Indie bands (such as Pavement or Yo La Tengo) acknowledged their appreciation of the early 80’s New Zealand scene and this had a direct effect upon the more hugely successful late 80s, early 90s American Indie Scene.
