Lyrically insane, and visually captivating, Kemar "KeeLo GrAmZ" Munroe evokes an unforgettable presence on and off the stage. His artistic talent and eclectic tastes have made him one of the most unique Hip Hop artists to date.

This award winning rapper/producer is arguably the best-kept secret in hip-hop.  His dominant new sound which he refers to as “Gangsta Pop” causes fans and critics to respond with intensity. In a time when most artist are coat tailing others to break into the industry KeeLo Gramz stayed away from the big name collabs/producers on his debut indie album Fortunes of the Fearless which was released independently in 2007.  KeeLo released this album with no major video release. The album had some success with 3 top singles “Here Ya Go, Last Call (Best Hip Hop Song Toronto Independent Music Awards 06’, Top 10 in Toronto) and Somebody Snitched (nominated for a TIMA award 07).”  His new singles Freak-Quently which was the single for his debut video and the Freak-Quently remix which features some of Toronto’s most elite MC’s(JD Era, Sample King, Mr Rankin, Mezziah, Mic Lawry(Boston) both produced by Boi 1Da was released with great success his third single “No Stoppin” which features the Canadian powerhouse Melanie Durrant are all featured on the street album “The Perfect Drug” which KeeLo produced/engineered with his partners (K.O.N, S NOX Product of Toronto Productions).  KeeLo spends all his time in the studio creating. He is currently putting the final touches to his first official album titled “Black Monday” (producers P.O.T. Productions, BOI 1DA) released date TBA.   The first single to be released from BLACK MONDAY is Keelo’s seventh radio single in 4 years titled FLY LIKE PAPAH (prod. By P.O.T) which has already been picked up by mainstream, college and internet stations in Canada and the U.S.  This single is already featured on numerous countdowns.

P.O.T. PRODUCTIONS

Music has been an influence in the lives of these talented producers from as far as they can remember. From their  youth,  each of them reminisce about their mothers’ always having the radio on in the kitchen playing the top 40, pops played his classic soul/R&B/Reggae/Calypso vinyls.   POT States:  “Music is something that is universal to the world and therapeutic to each individual who made it their own.”  

These producers grew up learning piano, drums and trumpet, a few played with their siblings turntables while making homemade mix tapes of various music that soon evolved to include their own raps.   Marijuana has been a huge part of these producers lives each of them remember smoking a J while listening to all different types of genres and really taking in the difference of the music.   We really love music and wanted to do more but never knew what to do or what steps to take.  Some of us were rappers at first and some of us went  the university route after highschool.   The opportunity really arose for them when Kemar Munroe (Keelo Gramz) began recording his first full solo album with DaiLo Recordings.  They felt that God gave them a gift in music and they were wasting it on doing nothing.  At that moment, they realized that one missed opportunity would be something they would regret in life and approach their marketing and music with that in mind always.  Thus, the spawn of P.O.T. Productions which stands for Product of Toronto compiled of 6 producers and engineers.  A major influence and thanks to our mentor Sheldon Moore (S-LuV) who showed us the essentials of producing and engineering while he worked on Keelo’s first album. Today, our production house has recorded and produced many tracks for local talent, and industry artists, and has branched off into film, television and commercials. What the future holds is limitless. For us, there is always room to improve, to learn and to master sound.
