"When you think of things inspirational for writing songs, Mother Nature, the world's beauty comes to mind," said Joe Sheehan of the popular Bozeman band Cure for the Common. It had already been in the band's plan to write a song using that inspiration, he said. And "we're right in the middle of writing our debut album so it came at a good time. "It's really cool to have an outlet" and for a song to potentially make an impact. "And to be involved with the Nomkoo project, it's definitely an honor." Sheehan is hoping for a good turn-out. "It's for something much greater" than just coming to see the bands, he said. "It's helping raise awareness for the importance of local sustainability and promoting it on a greater scale."
