CR cut his musical teeth grinding out the riffs of Jimi Page and Tony Iommi in the mid to late 70s. Then in 1982, hearing Michael Hedges was a revelation that expanded his ideas about what the guitar could do. Today CR plays a mix of styles using modern fingerstyle techniques to extend the guitar's sonic range.

CR had a serious injury to his right hand which required reconstructive surgery earlier this year. He continues to perform while his recovery is in process.
