I am Gerard van Wee, and I'm a singer/songwriter from the Netherlands.

Early 2003, I started writing my own music. I mostly use my keyboard and my voice as an instrument, but in some songs, I also use a Harmonica. Unfortunately, there is no proper drum, bass or guitar to support my music. The drums and bass in the songs were generated by my keyboard. This inevitably means that the music in its current form may still be somewhat bland. It still needs a good rhythm section to beef it up a little. Nevertheless, I hope that the overall idea gets across. I've written many more songs, but unfortunately, I do not have any lyrics for many of them. If there is anyone out there who would be willing to assist me, and write English lyrics for me, please contact me.

Why the name Crossbuck?

I consider the band name Crossbuck a metaphor for where we stand as human beings. If we don't take good care of our near future, we may soon be 'run over by a train'. I think the threat of global warming, deforestation, and animals which are at the brink of extinction, is considerable and quite real.

I'm still working on other songs, but unfortunately, I do not have any lyrics for them (yet), and I find it very hard to write (good) lyrics.

Also, what I would like my music to be supported by people on drums, bass and guitar and make some better quality recordings.
