About

Born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, September 9th. In 1996 he moved to the US and from the age of six had an interest in music. By age 14, with a radio and cassette tape, he was able to record his own music.

At the start of his high school career, music became more than just a hobby. He began showing fellow peers his lyrics. He received nothing but positive feedback and this made him eager to gain more musical knowledge. At age 16, he borrowed his friend's keyboard, and taught himself how to play piano. A few months later, he bought his first synthesizer keyboard. He started recording on CDs, as he posted tracks onto Myspace.com. A few weeks later, he and a couple other local undiscovered artists went to a Talib Kweli signing and he handed him a copy of his beats. Even though he received no feedback from Talib, he met a fellow artist by the name of Lyrical Flamez. That summer, from his association with Lyrical Flamez he was able to enter a beat battle in the 7 Deadly Cities competition. Being the only under aged competitor, he managed to place 3rd out of 6 local producers. This only brought more motivation to his purpose.

By winter, he gained a little recognition from a local independent label, Electic Haze Records. He made his first mix tape appearance as track 13 on a 4th Electric Haze compilation album which also featured songs from artist such as Kanye West, J-Dilla, Murs, and RaeKwon of the Wu-Tang Clan. From this point, he started collaborating with various artists from around the country such as Sincere from Houston, TX, Nomatic from NY, A-1 from Los Angelos, CA, Jimmi Stone from Seattle, WA, Lyrical Flamez, EJ, and Elz the Genius from Virginia Beach, Va, Sketch from VA, and his most frequent collaborator, Youngs from Chicago, Ill.

His musical talent continued to grow as he started recording songs of his own. He recorded his first legit song in November of 2008, titled "Turning Circles", he was able to get uprising artist, Cali Stylz, to listen to the song. Cali nodded his head to the beat and stated he envisioned a perfect video to the song. He labeled it "fresh", "something different", and "creative and innovative". He offered to show it to other artist from his label if he had Bass' consent. Bass quickly agreed, as Cali also offered him a spot on his Independent label Writers Ink Records.

A few months pass, and Bass kept been working on many projects when he received a call from Cali Stylz, letting him know that everything is set to be put into motion. He rushes into the studio that day and recorded his first single to his first EP "The Music Theory", the track was titled "Drivers Seat". On the 9th of January Craig Bass dropped his first EP "The Music Theory". His next project will be the second part to the
"Theory" EP's "The Sample Theory" which is due out April. He currently just wrapped up recording sessions for his LP being released under the Writers Ink label, the LP is titled "Bass Law". The first single off the album will be titled "The Math" produced by Los Angeles production team XnRT. He plans on continuing his ventures in the music business, after his first LP drop, either as an artist, producer, or preferably a songwriter.
