“When you reach “Apex”, you’ll wish that you had thrown your gum out the window instead of in the ashtray, sticking to a half smoked cigarette that you desperately need for this road trip. With its fast paced rhythm and a dirty organ line that smells of espionage, you will feel like the getaway driver from the unscheduled getaway you just pulled off. The band’s more avant garde influences come shining to the fore in in the final track, “Celephane Dreams”. The vocals start off as spacey--to remind you that there is a place better than this but then fiendishly remind you that you are not there yet with a gritty voice that belts out at you during the chorus. The genre switching blend of music retains the band’s sometimes confrontational wit and makes it even more subversive by wrapping it in such powerful music .
