Couture Biography
Disguised by her surroundings couture may appear to be a quite and even secretive person but, truth be told this artist has so much to say,so much to tell..
The journey of poetic melody began whilst couture was a young teen dealing with a hectic combination of surroundings. She would turn to poetry as her shelter...and in return she would learn how to counsel.
Couture is very open when it comes to talking about her history as she explains
"what really matters is not what you choose to showcase but rather what you choose to hide,for it is that which can make or break you, it is in your deepest thoughts you are true and it is those deepest thoughts that move you,inspire you, build you or cause you to crumble.. i am not afraid to speak my mind or admit to mistakes, I make no secrets of where i have been or past through.. from the cover ups to being exposed"...
It is this attitude that makes her so magnetically alluring and inspirational. Her voice captures your attention and draws you into a multi colored bluesy world.. with its delicate ,rich ,breathy ,passion filled tones that truly convey the intensity and truth in the words she sings.
Whilst couture refuses to place herself within one particular genre,she tells her influences are gathered from an eclectic variety of musical styles such as blues,soul, jazz, gospel, r&b, pop and ska.
"Music has as many personalities as its creator, i have many colors in untold shades, i don't always feel soulful or jazzy, but i always have my traits.
My influences are vast but at the center, the absolute core of everything is God and my Saviour Jesus Christ, for even without music and poetry i would be..but not without God. Simple mere words are not enough to accredit him for all he has done and continues to do, He has been there when no one else has, even when i was cause to my own fall, he raised me up. I am not religious but spiritual, I live my life to be a reflection of his words and i am an instrument in his symphony".
